LIVINGSTON, NJ — Again-to-back snowstorms prompted ripples within the Livingston Public College District, which held all-online courses on Monday.
Livingston faculty directors posted the next advisory on Sunday, because the township noticed its second winter storm in per week:
“As a result of late finish of immediately’s snow storm, and the chance of great icy situations within the morning, Livingston Public Colleges might want to transfer to all-virtual instruction tomorrow, Monday, Feb. 8. College services will likely be closed, and all instruction will likely be digital. An announcement will likely be made tomorrow morning relating to the standing of after faculty actions.”
“We intend to return to our in-person hybrid studying format on Tuesday, Feb. 9,” directors added.
“I want to start by recognizing our custodians and upkeep workforce for the wonderful work they did this week transferring almost two ft of snow from our services in order that we might open faculties once more yesterday. They labored extremely onerous, and all of us recognize their efforts on this monumental snow storm. Now we have one snow day remaining within the calendar, and we’ll use it judiciously since there’s nonetheless all of February and March forward of us, and we could already be one other climate occasion this coming Monday.”
The superintendent continued:
“The snow delayed starting the in-person side of our new two cohort schedule at Mount Nice Center, Heritage, and Livingston Excessive College. Nonetheless, over the previous two days we’ve been so excited to see our secondary college students come again in power. Please, should you signed as much as return to high school in-person for the second semester, we would like you to be at school and will likely be trying ahead to seeing you subsequent week.
